PSG star Sergio Ramos could be banned for up to seven games after being sent off for the 28th time in his career at the weekend.

Ramos, 36, was shown two yellow cards in quick succession during the first half of the Ligue 1 clash with Reims on Saturday (October 8). He had reacted angrily to his initial booking, getting right in the face of referee Pierre Gaillouste and shouting at him.

That saw the French official brandish another yellow and then the red card. Gaillouste said Ramos had displayed "aggressive" behaviour when explaining the decision in his post-match report.

But according to RMC, footage has emerged since the match from broadcaster Canal Plus which suggests the centre-back used abusive language towards the ref.

It's claimed he called him a "puta madre" - which translates from Ramos' native Spanish to "motherf***er" in English. Should that be proven, he could receive a ban for anywhere between two and seven games.

The report suggests it's unlikely Ramos will be given the maximum punishment, but he's certainly used to spending spells on the sidelines having been sent off copious times for former club Real Madrid.

He holds the record for the most La Liga red cards, seeing rojo 20 times. And his four in the Champions League is more than any other player too.

Ramos has made 14 appearances for PSG so far this season after an injury-struck first campaign. The two-year contract he signed last year expires next summer.
