Speaking in a press conference on Paris Saint-Germain’s tour of Japan, Luis Enrique has called for further signings, as well as further sales.
PSG have already strengthened this summer with the arrivals of Manuel Ugarte, Milan Skriniar, Lucas Hernández, Marco Asensio, Cher Ndour, Kang-In Lee, as well as Xavi Simons, who returned to the Parc des Princes before being loaned out to RB Leipzig.
There have also been departures, although perhaps not as many as hoped. Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos left Les Parisiens upon the expiry of their contracts. El Chadaille Bitshiabu and Junior Dina Ebimbe have both made moves to the Bundesliga to RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt respectively.
However, as he gets to know his squad, Luis Enrique has called for further additions and further sales. “After two weeks of training, my impression is excellent, very good. Not just because of the facilities at our disposal, but also because of the quality of our players. Players in the “loft” include returning loanees such as Julian Draxler, Georginio Wijnalbum and Leandro Paredes. No doubt that PSG will be looking to trim their squad further ahead of the upcoming season.
