Across 32 locations in the region, the company provides eye care to more than 1 million patients and performs more than 100,000 sight-preserving surgeries every year.

As a result of Magrabi’s leadership, MAGRABi Retail has become the leading high-end optical retailer in the Middle East.

Magrabi is using his position as CEO to influence social change across the region. Under his leadership, MAGRABi recently opened Riyadh’s first female-only store, and he has implemented a top-down approach to commit to gender equality throughout the business by 2025.

Besides holding the position of the CEO of Magrabi Group, he has also been the chairman of Magrabi Hospitals and Centers and the Magrabi Foundation since 2019. He has over 20 years of experience in the company.

Following his studies at Brown University in the US and the London Business School, Magrabi began his career in financial services in 1995 as a senior retail broker for Flemings Investment Bank in Cairo. Whilst in the UK he became a passionate supporter of Liverpool FC, before moving to New York to work for JP Morgan as a mergers and acquisitions associate.

He is also a public speaker and an active member of the Young Presidents Organization.

He is on the board of Al-Amin Medical Instruments Co., IKEA Saudi and Bahrain, Africa Eye Foundation and ARP Global Capital, and also serves as the Middle East and North Africa board member of Room to Read.
