Sevilla fans will be furious with their team's performance, whilst Manchester  City barely got out of first gear.

However, it comes to nothing and City are four minutes away from a win.

Things aren't going too well for Sevilla this season.

You feel Phil Foden really needed that goal, even though he has started each game this season. 

He hasn't had the goal involvements to justify his place at times and has faced criticism for it. 

That's exactly what he needs to keep doing

Phil Foden is just too good. It starts with Cancelo cuting the ball back to the forward.  

The England international shuffles the ball past a defender - and then the other way - and suddenly pings the ball into the bottom corner from 16 yards.

Former Manchester City player Navas find space on the right channel and is able to whip a ball into City's danger area- Edderson is able to get down to the ball and clear his line. 

City devastatingly hit the hosts on the counter, with Cancelo picking up the ball on the edge of the penalty area. 

But the Portuguese full-back scuff his shot and it trickles behind for a Sevilla goal kick.  

Manchester City hit Sevilla on break, as Haaland slots in De Bruyne in behind for a one-on-one. 

However, the Belgian slightly mishits the ball and Sevilla goalkeeper Bounou makes a great save to deny Manchester City their second. 

It's Sevilla who have mounted the first attack of the second-half, finding substitute Rafa Mir on the penalty spot.

However, Manchester City clear their lines but it's a good start from Sevilla.

For city fans, it may only be a 1-0 lead for their side, but it's a comfortable 1-0.

Yet again, some brilliant link-up play between De Bruyne and Haaland. 

The Belgian cuts the ball back to Haaland but Thomas Delaney throws himself at it before the striker can reach it.

You feel, the only option that Sevilla have on scoring tonight is from set pieces or free kicks. 

And now they have a chance from the free-kick to level. 

Thomas Delaney lays the ball off to Papu Gomez, who hammers a shot high and wide.

It hasn't been all one way traffic, as we approach half time in Spain.

I'm not sure if the hosts are waiting for their opportunity to strike, but with Erling Haaland able to score at any second, that might be a risky strategy. 

The new boys in Gomez and Akanji have started well for the visitors. 

They seem to be fitting into Manchester City's system well and look confident in possession.  

Yet again, De Bruye sends another into the side netting. 

It was a long range out, but you wouldn't bet on the Belgian scoring from that distance. 

Manchester City might not be at their vintage best, but they fully deserve their lead. 

It was close again for the visitors.

Haaland is going to score that goal so many times this season for Manchester City.

He's just always alive in that area- and Sevilla can't say they weren’t warned with De Bruyne and Foden always getting the ball on the right and putting a few decent crosses in already.

The Sevilla fans haven't stopped singing even when Haaland scored, but the task facing their side now has got significantly harder.

But Erling Haaland makes it 1-0 to Manchester City from close range.

This  very much trademark Haaland - and there is no surprise to see him convert from that distance. Of course Kevin de Bruyne was, predictably and supplied the Norwegian.

The Manchester City captain fires one over the crossbar.

But it was neat build up play involving both Haaland and Foden.

It's been alittle scrappy so far from City, with Sevilla making a great atmosphere and their team look more composed than the visitors. There are already signs, though, that if City put their foot on the ball they'll be able to play through Sevilla - and silence those home fans.

The visitors have started well.

It's not been a fluent start to the game from the visitors.

There's a light show before kick off to the sounds of the Greatest Showman. Sevilla fans are thankfully doing their best to drown it out.

Erling Haaland gets LOTS of whistles as his name is read out, as does Kevin De Bruyne. 

You need luck along the way and they have had some moments where they haven't had any [to win the Champions League]. They havee also lacked that other way of winning where you claw in and find a way. I look at them now and Haaland brings them goals, but he also brings a character and personality. There is an edge and aggression to him. Listen they are all great players, but I look for that devilment sometimes.

Even though, the 26-year old is just returning from injury, you feel it is an important night for him.  He was great in pre-season but lost his place through injury and needs to show the same attacking intent he did a few weeks ago to ensure he keeps that place going forward.

Almost a year ago, Grealish got a goal and assist on his Champions League debut and that’s how his record remains. He'd do his chances no harm if he could get among the goals tonight.
