Pep Guardiola's side conclude their group stage tonight with a visit from the Spanish side.

Manchester City round off their Champions League group campaign this evening with a home game against Sevilla.

Pep Guardiola's side are guaranteed to finish top whatever the outcome at the Etihad, but will be looking to finish with a win and maintain their unbeaten record.

City have won three and drawn two of their matches so far, conceding just one goal. They won 4-0 in Spain in the reverse tie back in early September.

Sevilla are guaranteed to finish third in the group, whatever the outcome tonight, and are set to return to the Europa League in the New Year - a competition they have dominated in recent times winning it four times in the space of seven seasons.

Big chance for Alvarez

We know Erling Haaland is out, and there’s no need to risk his injury when the Premier League is the priority this week.

That gives Julian Alvarez a chance to impress again after a frustrating afternoon at Leicester on Saturday where the hosts made it almost impossible to find any space.

Sevilla may come out a little more tonight, giving Alvarez some more chances, which will help after failing to score on his last three starts.

City youngsters - in or out tonight?

City called up Carlos Borges, Dire Mebude and Jadel Katongo to training yesterday, but it looks like only Borges was added to the UEFA squad ‘B List’ before last night’s deadline for adding young players.

Curiously, though, Borges played in the U19’s Youth League win over Sevilla this afternoon, coming off the bench for 35 minutes. And Mebude didn’t feature in the squad at all, even though he won’t be able to feature if he isn’t on the B List.

As expected, Rico Lewis and Josh Wilson-Esbrand are on the list and didn’t feature earlier, so they will hope to feature for the first team.

How they could line up

City secured safe passage to the last-16 of the Champions League when they played out a goalless draw in Copenhagen three weeks ago, before securing top spot in Group G when they drew with Borussia Dortmund last week. With Sevilla already guaranteed to finish third in the group and drop down into the Europa League, there is nothing riding on Wednesday's meeting.

Pep Guardiola is therefore expected to take the opportunity to rest some of his key players ahead of a Premier League clash with Fulham on Saturday.

This might just be the most difficult City XI to predict this season, but our City writers have had a go anyway.
