There were contrasting fortunes for Lancashire's four Championship clubs over a busy Saturday of action.
Burnley were the only side to pick up three points thanks to a 1-0 win over Coventry City. Jordan Beyer's late goal proved crucial for the Clarets.
But elsewhere, there were defeats for the county's teams in the second tier of English football. Blackburn Rovers were battered 4-0 by a Rotherham United side fighting against relegation.

Preston North End were beaten by the same scoreline at Deepdale against Norwich CIty. Blackpool meanwhile slipped to a 2-0 loss on the road to Watford.
Burnley sit top of the division and are in a good position to return to the Premier League, while Rovers sit in the play-offs, with North End now four points from the top six. Blackpool are in the relegation zone at present and three points from safety.
Throughout the campaign, football statistics website FiveThirtyEight is forecasting how the Championship table might finish after the results of every matchday. The climax of the regular season comes at the beginning of May before the play-offs start.
And following the weekend's action, Burnley remain tipped to end the season as champions and return to the Premier League, They are tipped to be joined by fellow pace setters Sheffield United.
As far as the play-offs are concerned, the same four teams are poised to fight it out for the final place on offer in the top flight via Wembley. These are Middlesbrough, West Bromwich Albion, Watford and Millwall.
Following the weekend loss to the Millers, Rovers have dropped a place where they are predicted to finish. Jon Dahl Tomasson's side are tipped to end the season 11th, seven points adrift of the top six.
For Ryan Lowe's North End, the weekend loss has also had an impact. They are now predicted for a 15th place finish, and 11 points from finishing in the play-offs.
At the other end of the table, the loss to the Hornets has seen the Seasiders slip back into the bottom three and are tipped to be playing in League One in the 2023/24 campaign. A 22nd place finish is anticipated, with Rotherham beating them to survival on goal difference after both teams are tipped to finish oin 48 points.
