Man United are aiming to play Man City in the FA Cup final but have to overcome Brighton first at Wembley.

Manchester City have already reached the FA Cup final and Manchester United are aiming to join them.

Pep Guardiola's side beat Championship opposition in Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon before Erik ten Hag and company meet Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday. For City, it was a fifth straight FA Cup semi-final, but they had been on the losing side in their previous three, having not reached the final since last winning it in 2019.

United have not been in the final four since the 2019/20 season, lasting winning the competition during Louis van Gaal's last match as manager in 2016. Here is all the information you need to know before the action begins.

Are there replays?

No. Drawn matches only go to a replay up to the fourth round.

So is there extra time?

Yes. Matches drawn after 90 minutes feature another half-an-hour extra time and a penalty shootout if required.

Is VAR in use?

Yes. Video Assistant Referee technology is available across every tie from the quarter-finals onwards.

Is yellow card accumulation a worry?

No. Previous yellow cards no longer count towards card accumulation after the quarter-finals. Harry Maguire's booking for United during their last tie against Fulham, as it was his second of the season's competition, does mean he will miss the weekend's semi-final.

Why couldn't Tommy Doyle and James McAtee play against City?

City loanees cannot play for Sheffield United against their parent club due to the competition's rules. Both midfielders started the quarter-final against Blackburn Rovers, with Doyle scoring the late winner that secured their spot in the semi-finals.
