The transfer window is officially open and Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be busy in the market. New boss Ange Postecoglou wants to mould the squad in his own image and there are likely to be a number of incoming signings as well as outgoings in N17.
The style of football on display at Tottenham Hotspur is likely to change, with the pragmatic approach of Antonio Conte making way for a more attack-minded philosophy under the Australian. And as a result, players currently in the squad may be forced to make way, or adapt.
In terms of incoming transfers, Spurs have been linked with a move for Brentford keeper David Raya, with Hugo Lloris admitting he would like to return to France before his Spurs contract expires next summer.
James Maddison is another name who has been heavily linked, with Postecoglou favouring a three-man midfield, with two of those attacking players. The England international would fit the bill and would be available having been relegated with Leicester City this season.
One name that has not been mentioned, however, is 23-year-old Conor Gallagher. The Chelsea star, who enjoyed a fine loan spell with Crystal Palace in 2021/22, scoring eight goals, ended last year well under Frank Lampard at the Blues, starting eight of the last nine Premier League games, scoring twice.
football.london reported that Gallagher is expected to depart Stamford Bridge this summer and has been linked with a move to Newcastle, who qualified for the Champions League this season. Newcastle are looking at other options, however and football.london understands that Tottenham also hold an interest in the England midfielder.

Gallagher has six caps for the senior team under Gareth Southgate, and the London location could work in Spurs' favour in any negotiations.
Postecoglou held talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy last week after taking a break from his holiday to report into Hotspur Way, with transfer priorities discussed during a recruitment meeting. Gallagher is one of a number of names on the list of potential targets.
