Burnley legend Robbie Blake has revealed his shock winner against Manchester United cost him Ryan Giggs' shirt.
The Clarets host the Red Devils in the 8pm evening kick-off on Saturday (September 23) - the same fixture as their first Premier League home match back in 2009. They weren't given much of a chance against Sir Alex Ferguson's reigning champions.
But Blake scored the only goal of the game, a smashing volley past Ben Foster, which combined with Michael Carrick's saved penalty gave them their first top-flight victory in 33 years. He sacrificed a shirt swap with Giggs as a result.

Amazon“To play United in the club’s first Premier League home game is what dreams are made of and the atmosphere was amazing," the 47-year-old recalled while speaking to The Sun.
“In the tunnel before the game, I was asking Ryan Giggs if I could have his shirt at full-time and he said I could have it, provided they didn’t lose.
"They were champions and arguably the best team in the world, with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Michael Owen and Giggs. We’d lost our first game at Stoke, so to beat United was incredible."

Fast forward to the current day, Blake is confident the current Burnley crop can repeat what he and his team-mates did 14 years ago as they search for their first league win of the season.
Erik ten Hag's side head to Turf Moor having lost three games on the bounce. The Dutchman also has an extensive injury list to work around.
Blake added: “United have the better players but Burnley will play better football and win. Vincent Kompany is a genius and they are very well drilled. I expect Burnley to have a real good go at United as they are fragile."
