Latest Arsenal transfer news with Bukayo Saka keen to get the lowdown on the Gunners' deadline day plans

Bukayo Saka has asked the transfer question on the minds of all Arsenal fans with just hours remaining of deadline day. The Gunners have already welcomed four permanent arrivals, with David Raya, Tommy Setford, Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino all joining with a wide forward seemingly now the priority if an opportunity arises.

Simon Adingra, Raheem Sterling, Jadon Sancho and Kingsley Coman have all been mooted, though Nico Williams is Arteta's dream signing. An exit from Athletic Bilbao this late into the window is highly unlikely, though a first-team departure on deadline day has already been confirmed with Arsenal moving quickly to bring in his replacement.

Soon after Aaron Ramsdale's switch to Southampton was confirmed, the Gunners agreed a season-long loan for Neto from Bournemouth after refusing to meet the release clause in Joan Garcia's Espanyol contract. Other than a deal for the experienced goalkeeper, further deadline day incomings currently appear unlikely.

That could of course change as the 11pm deadline approaches, and thus Saka will be hoping his transfer question is answered emphatically. As it is deadline day, Sky Sports have placed reporter Gary Cotterill outside London Colney and he has claimed that Saka, upon seeing their cameras, shouted out of his car window, "Who are we signing?"

Unfortunately for the England international, a signing in his position to help with the workload is not a scenario likely to play out. More permanent outgoings, on the other hand, to join Emile Smith Rowe and Ramsdale, appear on the way, with Eddie Nketiah set to join Crystal Palace.

Of the options considered within north London, Sterling looks set to remain at Chelsea after Arsenal again turned down the chance to sign him. Bayern Munich's Coman will also seemingly stay at his current club after rejecting approaches from Saudi Arabia and Europe.

Adingra, meanwhile, is another set to stay put, especially after Brighton lost new signing Matt O'Riley to injury. Of the quartet linked, Sancho is the only one likely to be on the move, with Chelsea pushing to sign him on a loan deal from Manchester United.
