Michail Antonio was dropped from West Ham's squad for “disciplinary reasons” after turning up late to a pre-match meeting.
The England star, who has been out since December 23 because of a groin injury, had been set to return with the Hammers suffering a long injury list.
But manager David Moyes said: “He was close but for disciplinary reasons he wasn't involved.
"He turned up late this morning for a meeting and it wasn't the first time. I am not having it at the club.

"I have said right from the start what it is going to be like and it is too often. Otherwise I would probably have tried to get him on the bench.
"He is short of fitness but he would have been a big help for us tonight because we didn't have any alternatives.

"To be fair, he took it very well. He has been in and apologised for it and because of that we move on.
"He will be back training in the morning. On time!"
