What is the team news?

Tottenham

Spurs have a clean bill of health after Harry Winks and Toby Alderweireld returned from long-term injuries in the FA Cup victory over Newport County. January signing Lucas Moura is available for selection with Mauricio Pochettino confirming he is likely to be in the matchday squad.

Arsenal

Arsene Wenger is sweating on the fitness of first-choice goalkeeper Petr Cech, who is struggling to recover from a calf injury and had not trained as of Thursday. David Ospina will deputise should he miss out. Nacho Monreal was substituted in last weekend's win over Everton but is fit to start, while Danny Welbeck could return to the substitute's bench. Santi Cazorla remains Arsenal's one long-term absentee.

What are they saying?

Mauricio Pochettino on Arsenal's January:

“I cannot say if they look stronger or not.

"I think Arsenal will be tough to play because they have good quality, talented players and are one of the best teams in the Premier League.

"And it is the derby and that will be tough for both teams."

Pochettino on Wembley:

“We don’t have another place to play – it is only Wembley.

"It will be a different game than we played before. It is always special, when you play the derby.

"I think seven months after playing at Wembley we are starting to feel very good there.

Arsene Wenger:

It’s the next one, so the next one is the biggest. It is a big game because we are behind in the table and we have to catch up.

I must say that personally, it’s more important mathematically for us to come back as quickly as possible, rather than it being emotionally-charged.

I’ve known the importance of this game for more than 20 years but for us, it’s an opportunity to come back in the table and get closer to the Champions League spots. That is the priority.

What are the odds?

  • Spurs 21/20
  • Arsenal 11/4
  • Draw 11/4

What is our prediction?

Arsenal have a superb record at Wembley, while Spurs are beginning to feel more at home too with a 12-match unbeaten run. In previous meetings at White Hart Lane, Spurs have swarmed all over their rivals but in Pierre-Emerick-Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan Arsenal carry the counter-attacking threat required in big matches. Arsene Wenger's side tend to produce their best football on Wembley's lush and expansive pitch, but defensive concerns remain and could deny them a crucial three points.

Verdict: Spurs 2 Arsenal 2
