Friday May 4th
8pm: Man Utd star David De Gea is unlikely to join Real Madrid this summer, according to Guillem Balague.
The Spaniard’s performances have led to speculation surrounding his future, with Real Madrid reportedly looking for a new No.1.
The La Liga giants no longer consider Keylor Navas good enough and they are believed to be targeting De Gea and Chelsea stopper Thibaut Courtois.
“The offer De Gea has got from Manchester United will not be matched by Real Madrid,” Balague told Sky Sports.
“He has been closer to joining Real Madrid in the past than he is now.”
6.30pm: Arsenal legend Robert Pires has backed his former side to sign Man Utd star Anthony Martial.
“I’m a big fan of Anthony Martial,” Pires told bwin.
“He’s very fast, he has excellent dribbling skills and he has the potential to score a lot of goals, but I think he has to play more football.
“I don’t know why he isn’t playing more for Manchester United and [Jose] Mourinho needs to show more confidence in him.
“I would welcome him at Arsenal!”
5pm: Jamie Redknapp believes his ex-Liverpool team-mate Steven Gerrard must have a healthy transfer budget at Rangers.
“If you looked at one club you thought Gerrard wouldn’t be manager of, it would probably be Rangers,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.
“No disrespect, they are a sleeping giant, but they’ve been asleep for a long time now.
“Stevie obviously feels he can turn it around and fair play to him. He’s never shirked a challenge in his life. This will probably be the biggest one he’s ever had.
“Going into management, your first step, normally you talk about going into a stable club that has money at your disposal, lots of good players.
“You don’t really know if they’ve got either, look at the players they have, they need a lot, refreshing.
“Maybe Steven knows something we don’t about them getting money in to buy some talent.
“If they don’t buy some new players I just can’t see how it is going to be a success.
“It will be very hard with the players he’s got at the moment.”
4pm: Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has warned Steven Gerrard he intends to ensure he doesn’t succeed as Rangers manager.
The Liverpool legend had been linked with the position at Ibrox all week and after an agreement was made, he was unveiled earlier this afternoon.
Gerrard has signed a four-year contract and will officially take over on June 1.
The former midfielder spent three years playing under Rodgers at Anfield and the pair will come head-to-head in the Old Firm next season.
“Welcome to the land of no sleep,” said Rodgers.
“His role will be to make it work, my job is to try and make sure it doesn't."
2.40pm: Rangers have announced the appointment of Steven Gerrard as their new manager, with the former Liverpool man penning a four-year deal.
He told the club's official website: “I am honoured to become the next manager of Rangers.
“I have enormous respect for this football club, and its history and tradition.
“I can’t wait to start this new journey at Rangers as we look to build on the many successes that this club has achieved.”
12.55pm: Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo is confident Barcelona target Antoine Griezmann will remain at the club this summer, despite €100m (£88m) release clause.
When asked about Griezmann, he told Spanish radio show El Larguero: “I think that he will be here next year.”
12.15pm: Riyad Mahrez has withdrawn his transfer request at Leicester after failing to force through a move to Manchester City on January deadline day.
He told Sky Sports: “I am still contracted to Leicester and at the moment I am here so we will see.
“At that time I handed in a transfer request because I had offers from Manchester City, so obviously I wanted to go, but now I am still in Leicester.
“I just want to finish the next three games and we will see what will happen to me.
“It (the transfer request) is gone. It was in January. Now it is another transfer window.”
10.50am: Liverpool have been handed a major boost after Real Madrid reportedly backed out of a deal for Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian has been in fantastic form this season as the Reds chase a sixth Champions League title, scoring 43 goals in 49 appearances.
It has led to widespread rumours that Real Madrid are looking at signing the former Roma forward as they look to recruit a new world-class attacker in the summer.
But Spanish outlet Diario Gol are now reporting that the European champions have cooled their interest in Salah because he would be too expensive.
10am: Sky Sports claim Steven Gerrard has now agreed a deal to become the next Rangers manager.
The former England and Liverpool captain is said to have agreed a three-year deal at the Ibrox following talks in London last night.
Gary McAllister, also formerly of Liverpool, will be named as the 37-year-old’s assistant manager.

8.45am: Anthony Martial has told his agent to start looking at new clubs to join in the summer.
The France international has grown frustrated with his playing-time at Manchester United and is looking at options away from the club.
Martial has started just two of the last 10 games as new signing Alexis Sanchez has been preferred.
8am: Eric Bailly has emerged as a shock target for Arsenal and Chelsea.
Manchester United's star centre-half has been frozen out somewhat of late by Jose Mourinho.
And with his future suddenly in some doubt, ESPN say the two London clubs are monitoring Bailly's situation ahead of the summer.
7am: Tottenham are set to make a £30m bid for Ryan Bertrand in the summer.
Mauricio Pochettino sees the Southampton left-back as the ideal replacement for Danny Rose, who is expected to quit with Manchester United his likely destination.
Bertrand, 28, would compete for the position with Ben Davies.
