The brilliant Egyptian Pharaoh chose the perfect occasion to rule over Anfield as his record breaking goal helped Liverpool back into the Champions' League next season.
The forward settled any Reds nerves and guaranteed a second consecutive top four finish with a fine finish in the 26th minute, to set a new Premier League goal-scoring record.
Salah took his season's tally in the top flight to 32, which surpassed the record set jointly by Alan Shearer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez.
When you consider some of the other names he has gone past then it puts his achievement into magnificent, implausible perspective. As well as that trio he has scored more in a season that Thierry Henry, Ruud van Nistelrooy Robin van Persie, Didier Drogba, Fernando Torres and Sergio Augero.
Those are all names of legend, and Salah has passed them. But there is more. His 32nd Premier League goal also meant that he joined Ian Rush in holding Liverpool's post-war top flight goal scoring record in a single season.
Again, the list of names he has left behind is mind-boggling. Roger Hunt, Robbie Fowler, Kenny Dalglish, Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen, Suarez, Torres, Keegan, Ian St John and Billy Liddell.
It means his name will join the ranks of greats in the Reds' history, and no one deserves it more after one of the most incredible season's in football lore.
The rest that followed his historic goal barely registered as Anfield stood to applaud their Egyptian King. But for the record, Dejan Lovren added a second with a powerful header before the break and Dominic Solanke deservedly got his first for the club, thanks to a Salah assist.
When the popular Andy Robertson got a fourth Liverpool with their Champions' League place confirmed could look forward to the final in two weeks time, and Salah could take a break to the acclaim of the entire ground.
Liverpool round off a wonderful campaign with a dominant display against a Brighton side that never looked like competing once the Reds took the lead. Solanke fired in at the near post to add to Salah and Lovren's first half goals, before Robertson added gloss to the scoreline by powering in the loose ball from inside the box, after Dunk's clearance fell to his feet. Tottenham's victory over Leicester means Liverpool finish the season in fourth, but it has been a very impressive campaign nonetheless.

GOAL! Dunk intercepts a dangerous corner from the left but he can only clear it as far as Robertson, who rifles a low effort straight into the back of the net. Dunk tried his best to get his head to the ball but the shot had far too much power. Liverpool are cruising.

Harry Kane has restored Tottenham's lead against Leicester, so Liverpool will finish fourth if it stays that way. They certainly look in no danger of relinquishing the lead themselves, Brighton have not threatened at all.
STAT: This is the first Premier League campaign to see two players score 30 goals (Salah and Kane) since 1993-94 (Andy Cole 34, Alan Shearer 31).
Brighton try to get forward down the right wing but Bong's cross is deflected straight into the welcoming arms of Karius. The Seagulls are enjoying a little more time in the final third in this half but they have done very little with it.
The corner causes a little chaos inside the box but Propper does well to bring the ball wide and clear the danger. There are just over 10 minutes to go and as things stand Liverpool will still finish third, as Spurs and Leicester are currently level.

Brighton are forced into their third and final change of the day, as Duffy is replaced by Goldson due to injury.
Murray does well to keep a Brighton attack alive but Liverpool force them back. Gross then tries to find Murray at the back post but his cross is easily cleared away by van Dijk.
There has been a noticeable drop in tempo since Liverpool's third goal. The Reds are moving the ball around the midfield with ease being afforded plenty of time to try and find their forwards. The Seagulls are pressing a bit higher but they are not really causing any problems for Klopp's side.
CHANCE! Henderson's beautifully weighted through ball finds Salah inside the box but the Egyptian winger loses his balance just as he shapes himself to shoot. Ryan looked like he might have had that covered in truth but Brighton are really struggling to cope with the pace of the Liverpool forwards at the moment.
STAT: Salah is the first Liverpool player to record double figures for both goals and assists in a Premier League season since both Luis Suarez (31 & 12) and Steven Gerrard (13 & 13) in 2013-14.

GOAL! Liverpool catch Brighton on the counter attack as Salah skips over a weak sliding challenge and finds Solanke inside the right of the box. It is a tight angle but the Reds youngster does brilliantly to fire the ball into the top corner. Brilliant goal and that is surely game over now.

SHOT! Brighton make a mess of clearing the corner and Mane's shot from range deflects off a Liverpool player and into the path of van Dijk. The defender swings his foot at it but he can only direct his shot straight at Ryan.
