Man City line up sensational Hazard bid


Manchester City are ready to bid for Eden Hazard if the Belgium international decides to leave Chelsea this summer, according to The Sun .

The Blues failed to qualify for the Champions League in 2017-18 and Hazard is understood to be waiting to see what type of investment is made in the squad this summer before deciding his own future.

Pep Guardiola's Premier League champions are looking to strengthen their grip on the trophy and would not hesistate to make a bid of over £100 million ($135m) if Hazard became available. City would also be willing to match his £300,000-per-week wage demands.


PSG make Buffon offer


Paris Saint-Germain have made an offer to sign Gianluigi Buffon on a free transfer when he leaves Juventus, Goal can confirm.

The Ligue 1 champions have taken the first steps in trying to entice the 40-year-old to France and have made an offer of €8 million-per-year (£7m/$9.4m), almost double his current salary at Juventus.

Mikel Arteta has agreed in principle to replace Arsene Wenger and become the new manager at Arsenal.

Zidane will comment on Neymar after CL final


Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane has put off talk of Neymar joining the club, saying he will address such questions after the Champions League final with Liverpool.

Reports have continued to link the Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil superstar with a move to Madrid, just one year after his record transfer away from Barcelona.

Zidane did not want to comment on someone who is not his player, though he told reporters he would answer their questions after his club finish off their La Liga campaign against Villarreal and the Champions League final on May 26.

Pellegrini becomes frontrunner for West Ham job


Manuel Pellegrini has emerged as the frontrunner for the managerial role at West Ham over Rafa Benitez and Unai Emery sources have told Goal.

The former Manchester City boss and current head coach at Hebei China Fortune is seen as preferrable as he has Premier League experience, something Emery lacks.

West Ham are concerned over the cost of landing Benitez, who has a £6 million ($8m) release clause and may want around £9m-per-year to take the job.

The 40-year-old goalkeeper confirmed he will leave Juventus but will not retire at the end of the season, leaving himself open to offers.

And the Premier League duo are hoping to land the legendary shot-stopper, but there is expected to be even more interest in him.


Martial high on Chelsea target list


Chelsea have put Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial at the top of their list of summer transfer targets, reports the Daily Mail .

The Blues are looking at potential signings for next season after an underwhelming campaign and believe the Frenchman will boost their attack.

Napoli demand €120m for Koulibaly


Napoli have placed a €120 million ($141m) price tag on defender Kalidou Koulibaly, who has attracted interest from a number of elite clubs, reports Rai Sport, via Football Italia .

Koulibaly has been a key part of Napoli's rise in recent years, and has thus attracted interest from Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United.

However, the Italian side want a world-record fee for a defender if they are to sell up.


Leicester agree Pereira deal


Leicester City have agreed a £24 million ($32m) deal to sign Porto full-back Ricardo Pereira, reports A Bola .

The 24-year-old worked with current Foxes manager Claude Puel at Nice, and the two are now set to be reunited in England.

The two clubs have been in talks over the past few weeks, and are now closing in on rubber-stamping the deal.


Benitez prefers Newcastle stay over West Ham


Rafael Benitez would prefer to stay at Newcastle United than move to West Ham this summer, reports the Daily Telegraph .

The Hammers are keen to appoint Benitez in the wake of David Moyes' departure from the club.

However, the Spaniard is still planning for the future in the north east, though he would like assurances over the size of his transfer budget as he continues talks with owner Mike Ashley.


Dortmund want Morata


Borussia Dortmund will turn their focus to signing Alvaro Morata from Chelsea because they will not be able to get Michy Batshuayi on a permanent deal, says The Sun .

The Blues are said to be considering letting Morata go after his first-season struggles at Stamford Bridge and Juventus are monitoring his situation.

On the other hand, Batshuayi's success in Germany has convinced Chelsea to give the Belgian a chance next term and Dortmund will have a go at getting the best out of Morata if he is up for grabs. 


Guardiola gives Arteta all clear for Arsenal


Pep Guardiola has given Mikel Arteta the OK to leave Manchester City to take over as Arsenal manager, according to Sport .

The former Gunners midfielder is one of the top candidates to succeed Arsene Wenger at the helm and is ready to enter talks with chairman Ivan Gazidis.

Arteta met with Guardiola and director of football Txiki Begiristain, who accepted his desire to head to London.   


Roma reject Real Madrid bid for Alisson


Roma have rejected an offer from Real Madrid for goalkeeper Alisson, Corrierre dello Sport   reports.

The Spanish side have been eyeing up the shot-stopper all season as he continues to impress in Serie A.

However, Roma are determined to hold on to him and will not accept anything less than €100 million (£90m/$120m) for the Brazil international.


Arsenal ready to sell Ramsey


Arsenal are ready to sell Aaron Ramsey if he doesn't agree to a new contract before next season, reports The Sun.

The 27-year-old is entering the final year of his contract and has drawn interest from Chelsea, Manchester United and Juventus.

With talks ongoing between the Gunners and Ramsey's representatives, the club could be forced to sell if more progress isn't made. 


Simeone wants Dybala to replace Griezmann


Diego Simeone wants to bring Paulo Dybala to Atletico Madrid to replace Barcelona-bound Antoine Griezmann, Don Balon   says.

Simeone has made peace with Griezmann's intent to join the Catalan side and wants a top forward to step into his role for the Europa League winners.

The Atleti manager sees his fellow Argentine, who scored 26 goals in all competitions in 2017-18, as an ideal option.

Kluivert set for Ajax exit after contract snub


Manchester United target Justin Kluivert looks set to leave Ajax after admitting he rejected a contract offer from the club.

However, Kluivert has hit out at Ajax for their policy and doubts it is the best place for him to develop.
