DUBOIS — With a pitch count at 89 in the seventh inning and two outs, Punxsutawney Chucks sophomore pitcher Parker Stahlman struck out Riverside’s top pitcher Christian Lucarelli for the final out to give the Chucks a 3-0 win over the defending PIAA 3A State Champions, as well as making it 1-1 against them after the Panthers beat the Chucks 8-5 in the semi-finals on their road to States.

Stahlman worked a full game, striking out more than six Panthers, and on the opposite end, Lucarelli came in on relief in the third inning and limited the Chucks’ scoring opportunities, with several Punxsy runners stranded on base throughout those later innings.
