Royale Union Saint-Gilloise is reportedly willing to let go of their star striker Victor Boniface for a transfer fee of not less than €20 million (approx. ₦10 billion), Soccernet.ng understands.

The 22-year-old Nigerian forward joined the Brussels-based team from Bodo Glimt for a club-record fee of €2 million at the start of the season and has been in sensational form since then, scoring 19 goals and providing eight assists in all competitions.

Boniface’s performances have caught the attention of several top European clubs, including SS Lazio, AC Milan, SSC Naples, Union Berlin, Eintracht Frankfurt, and an unnamed Ligue 1 club. Several Premier League clubs are also said to be monitoring the situation.

According to Voetbalnieuws, the striker’s impressive display in the Europa League has increased his market value significantly, with Boniface tipped to fetch up to €20 million, which would represent a massive profit for Union Saint-Gilloise. The Belgian side is expected to cash in on the striker at the end of the season.

The departure of Boniface is likely to leave a big hole in Union’s attack, as the striker has been instrumental in their impressive campaign this season. However, the club’s management is confident they can find a suitable replacement in the transfer market.

It is worth noting that Boniface is also close to earning a call-up to the Nigerian national team, the Super Eagles. The striker was on the provisional waiting list ahead of the back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Guinea-Bissau in March. If he continues his impressive form, it is only a matter of time before he earns his first cap for Nigeria.
