Stefano Pioli’s AC Milan are interested in acquiring the services of 23-year-old Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez.
According to Calciomercatoweb, AC Milan are keen on having Julian Alvarez in their ranks. The Italian giants are willing to push for the 23-year-old Argentine World Cup who is considered an integral part of the Manchester City first-team.
Milan are planning to build a team strong enough to compete for the Serie A title. They have already done a lot of business in the ongoing transfer window. They were in desperate need of funds to reinforce their squad and decided to let go of Sandro Tonali for a considerable fee.
After Tonali’s departure to Newcastle United, they have already secured two important signings in Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic. Signing the Chelsea duo was just the first step. Currently, they are closing in on the signatures of AZ Alkmaar midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.

Reijnders’ arrival will give them the much-needed boost in the centre of the park. But, they still need a new striker and have their eyes set on Manchester City star Julian Alvarez. While they are aware that signing the 23-year-old won’t be an easy task, they are ready to try their luck.
The Argentine international is not the first-choice striker at Manchester City. He is behind Erling Haaland in the pecking order and didn’t get the desired minutes last season. He is keen on having more game time under his belt in the upcoming season. As a result, he could push for a move elsewhere.
However, the 23-year-old had recently penned down a new deal with Pep Guardiola’s team. His new contract runs until the summer of 2028 and City consider him an important part of their future plans. As a result, they have no intention of negotiating his departure until and unless there is a bid of around €80 million.
While Milan are keen on having him in their ranks, they can’t afford to pay such a huge fee for the 23-year-old. At this point in time, the best they can do is €25 million plus add-ons. Even if the player pushes for the move, it looks unlikely that City would allow him to leave for such a low fee.
