ESPN drives me crazy with their insistence on this intrusive cross/self promotion:
It’s not that big, the score bug, but it’s still annoying. We get it. Your network is showing the other NL Wild Card game on another channel. If we wanted updates on that game, we’d go watch it, or just check the phone. A lot of people are probably dicking around and scrolling anyway, multitasking and all of that.
ESPN needs to understand that sometimes less is more. The upleft chyron is nice. Score, inning, pitch count, all of that. That’s all you need. Drop the Milwaukee/Arizona score bug. We don’t care. Same thing for Brewers and D Backs fans watching their game. They don’t need the Miami/Philly score on their screens. Enough already. I’m annoyed.
