BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The posts you’ve seen on social media are true. Rapper and style icon, Travis Scott, made an appearance on LSU’s campus around midnight on Thursday to promote his collegiate-inspired apparel collection.
According to an official press release, Cactus Jack, the official brand of multi-platinum, diamond-certified recording artist Travis Scott, teamed up with digital sports platform Fanatics, leading sports retailer Lids, and Mitchell & Ness to create the exclusive apparel collection.
The “Jack Goes Back to College” collection brings together collegiate pride and streetwear style, offering a unique selection of headwear and apparel for students across the nation.
Travis and Fanatics CEO, Michael Rubin, started their night by surprising the LSU football team and gifted the new collaboration to players on the team.
From there, Michael and Travis went to the LSU bookstore. Hundreds of students crowded the entrance of Barnes & Noble, anticipating the exclusive merchandise launch.

Michael and Travis were also joined by LSU star athletes Angel Reese, Flau’jae Johnson and Jayden Daniels who signed autographs.
LSU football head coach Brian Kelly gifted Scott and Micahel Rubin with their own jersey.
Scott even made a performance at Fred’s in Tigerland.
The “Jack Goes Back to College” collection offers a range of accessible price points, catering to students and fans alike. Retail prices start at $68 and go up to $160.
It features Mitchell & Ness snapback hats reimagined with a Cactus Jack twist and university branding. Plus, clothing that includes T-shirts, crewnecks, hoodies, shorts, sweatpants, and backpacks, providing a complete head-to-toe look.
Southern University and A&M College and Grambling State University were also selected as schools that will have their own collections.
