The Philadelphia Eagles have released former Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker David Anenih, the team announced as part of a flurry of moves before their game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Anenih signed with the Eagles practice squad on September 18 but was released after the team got some pass-rushing help. This is the second team he has been cut from this season. He signed with the Miami Dolphins during the summer but was cut during final cutdowns.
Over his entire career, Anenih has played for six different teams. An undrafted free agent out of Houston in the 2022 NFL Draft, he first signed with the Tennessee Titans. The Pittsburgh Steelers signed Anenih to their practice squad, and he stayed there for nearly two months.
However, the Atlanta Falcons eventually signed Anenih to their active roster in December. Yet, the Falcons released Anenih in OTAs the next May. He would join the Arizona Cardinals but fail to make their final roster, and no team would sign Anenih for the rest of the season. Anenih has yet to make his NFL debut.
