Golf

The FSU women's golf team-- the No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tallahassee Regional -- capped off its impressive week at the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course by shooting a program postseason record 12-under-par in Wednesday's final round to finish second behind Alabama.

Baseball

No. 13 FSU completed its season sweep of Jacksonville Wednesday night in Tallahassee in convincing fashion.

With the win over the Dolphins -- a Top 20 RPI team -- FSU is up to No. 8 in the RPI. With a strong finish to the season and the further RPI boost that FSU will get from three games against NC State, a national seed in the NCAA Tournament is very much still on the table.

Before that NC State series, FSU hosts Mount St. Mary's for a four-game set this weekend, beginning Friday at 6 p.m.

Jeff Borzello of ESPN confirmed yesterday that former FSU center Ike Obiagu has received his release from FSU after just one season with the Seminoles.
