Ivey Crain and Leah Iglesias scored twice apiece Sunday as William & Mary (8-1-5, 5-1-2 Coastal Athletic Association) dominated winless Hampton 7-0 in Williamsburg.
The Pirates’ Alexis Deveaux had 15 saves against the Tribe, which scored its most goals in a game since 2003.
ODU, JMU play to draw
Old Dominion (9-1-3, 4-1-1) and James Madison (6-2-6, 3-0-3) played to a scoreless tie Sunday night in Norfolk in a “Royal Rivalry” of Sun Belt title contenders. Alexandra Blom made nine saves for the Dukes, while Emily Bredek had one save for the Monarchs.
N.C. State overcomes Virginia
Allie Ross scored her fifth goal of the season in the 64th minute to pull Virginia within striking distance, but the Cavaliers (5-3-5, 0-3-3 ACC) dropped a 2-1 contest at N.C. State (2-7-5, 1-3-2).
The Wolfpack got goals from Jameese Joseph in the sixth minute and Annika Wohner in the 12th.
No. 9 Clemson shuts out Hokies
Virginia Tech (6-5-3, 2-3 ACC) dropped a 1-0 decision to No. 9 Clemson (9-1-3, 3-1-1) on Sunday at Thompson Field in Blacksburg.
Clemson’s Caroline Conti scored inside the box in the 28th minute. The Tigers outshot the Hokies 9-2.

W&M, CNU extend winning streaks
William & Mary (11-7, 6-2 CAA) extended its winning streak to four with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-22, 25-20) victory over Elon, completing a two-match sweep of the Phoenix (3-14, 0-8).
Taylor Burrell had 10 kills for W&M, which is tied with Towson for second place.
Stony Brook (10-9, 5-3 CAA) swept Hampton at Holland Hall for the second day in a row, winning 3-0 (25-18, 25-12, 25-12). Maria Eduarda Rodrigues had seven kills and six digs for the Pirates (0-10, 0-8).
Christopher Newport (13-5) boosted its winning streak to 11 matches, rallying past host UC Santa Cruz 3-2 (23-25, 23-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-8) to complete a three-match trip to the Golden State. Samantha Dorn had 16 kills. The Banana Slugs fell to 12-10.

ODU takes fifth place in Va. Beach event
Old Dominion placed fifth in the 54-hole Evie Odom Invitational at Princess Anne Country Club in Virginia Beach.
Monarchs freshman Puneet Bajwa placed second individually at 5-under 205, two strokes behind medalist Makenzie Cooper of Chattanooga. Bajwa carded three birdies on the back nine.
Also for ODU, Lucia Gonzalez moved up three spots to finish tied for 11th with a three-over 213 after posting a 70 for her final 18 holes.
Central Florida took the team title at 10-over-par 850.
UCF, Kent State (+15), Chattanooga (+20) and Furman (+22) were the teams ahead of ODU. James Madison (+36) tied Coastal Carolina for eighth place.
Great Bridge High graduate Kendall Turner notched her 15th career top-10 finish for JMU. In a field of 84, Turner’s tie for seventh came after she tied her career-low round of 4-under 66 in the final round. Her 1-over 211 (75-70-66) earned the redshirt senior her fourth straight top-15 finish to open the fall season.

Domovich scores twice as Tribe prevails
William & Mary (5-6) won 4-1 at home against Georgetown (1-12). Audrey Domovich scored twice and Lauren Curran and Sara Bartzen added a goal each for the Tribe.
Bartzen’s goal with 3:17 left in the second quarter put W&M ahead 2-1.
ODU outplays Hofstra
Old Dominion (7-5) completed a two-victory weekend with a 4-1 home triumph against Hofstra (6-6). Marlon de Bruijne scored the first two goals for the Monarchs, and Sacha de Gier and Aubrey Mytych landed insurance goals in the fourth quarter.
No. 7 CNU wins, holds Rhodes without a shot
Christopher Newport (11-0), ranked seventh in Division III, won a 6-0 decision in Fredericksburg over Rhodes (9-3) of Memphis, Tennessee.
Maddison Steele scored twice in the first 11:39, and for the 13th time in program history, the Captains did not allow a shot to an opponent.
Marlins defeat Sewanee
Virginia Wesleyan (5-7) earned a 3-1 victory over Sewanee (1-9) of Tennessee. Katherine Druiett scored in the second quarter, and Shannon Gaffney and Ava Stauch expanded the lead in the fourth quarter.

UVA pair takes second in ITA All-American
Virginia sophomore Annabelle Xu and junior Melodie Collard advanced to the ITA All-American Championships’ doubles finals before bowing 6-2, 6-2 against Dana Guzman and Alina Shcherbinnina of Oklahoma in the championship match Sunday in Cary, North Carolina.
The UVA duo picked up four wins in the tournament, including three against tandems ranked in the preseason top 25,

Ex-UVA golfer wins Korn Ferry points title
Former Virginia standout Ben Kohles captured the Korn Ferry Tour Points List championship Sunday. He will become fully exempt on the 2024 PGA Tour and will gain access to the 2024 Players Championship and U.S. Open.
The top 30 players on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List earned PGA Tour cards for 2024. Joining Kohles on next year’s tour will be former Cavalier Jimmy Stanger, who placed 15th in points.
