An international limited-overs cricket competition called the 2024 ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup is now taking place in South Africa from January 19 to February 11, 2024. This year marks the Under-19 Cricket World Cup’s fifteenth edition. 

The reigning champions are India. The International Cricket Council (ICC) suspended the Sri Lanka Cricket Board, hence the host country was changed from Sri Lanka to South Africa.

Under 19 World Cup 2024 Venue

The South African country is set to host the 2024 ICC U19 Men’s Cricket World Cup, which is slated to begin on January 19 and end on February 11. 

In this 50-over tournament, sixteen teams will face off in 41 scheduled matches. Each of the four groupings consists of four teams competing in the preliminary round. 

Next up is the Super Six stage, where two sets of six teams will compete. Which teams go on to the semifinals and finally face off in the championship game will be determined by the outcome of this round.

ICC U-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2024 Groups

The top four countries from the Super Six stage will then advance to the semifinals, where they will compete for a place in the championship match.

  • Group A: India, Bangladesh, Ireland, and USA.
  • Group B: England, Scotland, South Africa, and West Indies.
  • Group C: Namibia, Australia, Sri Lanka, And Zimbabwe.
  • Group D: Afghanistan, New Zealand, Pakistan and Nepal.

Under 19 World Cup 2024 Stadium

South Africa will play host to the ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2024, with 16 teams divided into four groups. Five distinct locations will host the tournament:

  • Mangaung Oval, Bloemfontein: Arranging the hosting of the Group A matches between the American, Irish, Bangladeshi, and Indian teams.
  • JB Marks Oval, Potchefstroom: Hosting games for teams from the West Indies, South Africa, England, and Scotland in Group B.
  • Diamond Oval, Kimberley: Hosting matches for the Australian, Namibian, Sri Lankan, and Zimbabwean teams in Group C.
  • Willowmoore Park, Benoni: Scheduled to host the final on February 11 and the semi-finals on February 6 and 8.
  • Buffalo Park, East London: Hosting the Group D competition, which includes teams from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, and New Zealand
