The form team in the IPL, Kolkata Knight Riders, are not in action this weekend, but there are plenty of big matchups.
It is still early but the teams who have made slow starts are all desperate to get flying in the IPL.
Friday and Saturday each stage one match this week while Sunday features a double-header.
Friday 5 April
Sunrisers 23/20 | Tie 25/1 | Super Kings 72/100 (16:00)
The Sunrisers Hyderabad haven’t really built on a great start to their campaign when it comes to batting.
However, they still possess one of the biggest threats in the competition in Heinrich Klaasen and are a team that need to be watched.
CSK haven’t flown out of the blocks with big totals but the way they have played suggests they are on for another playoff run.
The CSK push has been spearheaded by the superb form of Bangladesh quick Mustafizur Rahman.
Verdict: Chennai Super Kings 72/100
The Super Kings are rightly favourites here and should get the job done against the underperforming Sunrisers.
Saturday 6 April
Royals 72/100 | Tie 25/1 | Royal Challengers 23/20 (16:00)
The Rajasthan Royals can turn a good start into a great one if they can see off Royal Challengers Bengaluru at home.
Trent Boult and Yuzvendra Chahal have led the Royals bowling well showing the value of experience.
The Royals have bowled well and Nandre Burger has also been a big part of that.
RCB have struggled when Virat Kohli has not been dominant which is a big concern for the franchise moving forward.
Verdict: Rajasthan Royals 72/100
The Royals are a far more settled unit and should be too good for the one-man-show RCB is turning into.
Sunday 7 April
Indians 67/100 | Tie 25/1 | Capitals 12/10 (12:30)
It hasn’t been the best start for either side but Mumbai Indians will likely have greater confidence in their ability to turn things around.
MI have made a lot of the reception received by their returning skipper Hardik Pandya who has overseen three winless matches to start.
The Delhi Capitals have a win to their name at least but after getting on the board they slumped to a big loss in their last outing.
Mumbai Indians should be out to end their losing streak against a team that looks ripe for the picking.
Verdict: Mumbai Indians 67/100
Maybe the one game here to swerve, but the Indians can’t stay winless much longer.
Super Giants 82/100 | Tie 25/1 | Titans 21/20 (16:30)
Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans will both be out to claim a third win of the campaign to date when they clash on LSG turf.
LSG have won two on the bounce with the raw pace of young Mayank Yadav an exciting find for them.
Nicholas Pooran has hit his straps too, making LSG a formidable prospect to face at this stage of the tournament.
The Titans are yet to win back-to-back as they deliver mixed form this term but still, have a dangerous unit that shouldn’t be written off.
Verdict: Lucknow Super Giants 82/100
The Super Giants have shown the early consistency and are tipped to grab the win on Sunday evening.
