Andrey Rublev is currently the 2nd ranked Russian after Daniil Medvedev according to the ATP rankings. Rublev is known for his thunderbolt forehands backed up by loud grunts in the court. The world number 7 has had a hot temper during matches but keeps his cool with fellow players. He has an attacking persona while playing but is the straight opposite in press conferences and interviews.

Andrey Rublev’s presence is always felt on the court and off the court is known to be a down-to-earth person. He has kept his private life out of the public eye. The 25-year-old has been in a relationship with Anastasija Homutova for over 7 years. The couple has not shared many of their moments together on social media and has been focusing on each other’s careers.

The pair first met in a practice session in 2016 and immediately started bonding. Their common passion for tennis made things easier. Homutova has been spotted in many of Rublev’s matches, showing her support and love for the Russian.

Is Andrey Rublev’s girlfriend Anastasija Homutova a tennis player?

Anastasija Homutova has roots in Latvia but was born and brought up in Moscow, Russia. She is a year older than Rublev and was introduced to tennis at the age of 5. She is a former WTA player who featured in ITF events until 2017. She was ranked as high as No. 107 and last played a professional match in Turkey in May 2017.

She is currently a tennis instructor and coach. Homutova has also kept her relationship with Andrey Rublev private. Both of them train together and Homutova used to train with 4Slam Academy when she was on the ITF pro circuit. She entered the ITF circuit in 2012 and registered her final victory, 6-1, 6-0, against Sara Lanca in Portugal in March 2017. She ended her career with 3 consecutive losses on clay.

Homutova reached the quarterfinals at an ITF clay event in Estonia in 2014. She lost to 5th seed Alexandra Artamonova in straight sets. She has not announced her return to tour and is currently focusing on coaching the young players. Rublev is presently competing in Wimbledon and will be looking to enter the quarterfinals for the first time.
