It's been an injury-blighted campaign for West Ham defender Winston Reid and he has taken to Instagram to explain his frustrations after his latest setback.

The Kiwi centre back was involved in a nasty collision in the opening stages of the 4-1 thrashing at Swansea City last weekend and had to be stretchered off following ten minutes of treatment on the pitch.

Reid was knocked unconscious and also twisted his knee in an awful looking injury at the Liberty Stadium and has, unsurprisingly, been ruled out of the final ten games of the season.

Thankfully for the Hammers, James Collins and Angelo Ogbonna should be fit enough to return against Burnley on Saturday having missed the defeat in Wales but having sold Jose Fonte to Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang, the club is not blessed with a tremendous amount of centre halves.

The centre half has made 16 starts in all competitions this season but has struggled with calf, adductor and groin injuries which has caused him to miss a big number of games. Now you can add knee injury to the list after what happened at Swansea.

Sam Byram is also expected to miss the last ten games of the campaign after picking up an ankle injury against Swansea having come on the pitch to replace Red when he was carried off. Byram completed the match but the injury was discovered after the game and he is expected to not return until the start of the 2018/19 pre-season campaign.

Pedro Obiang and Andy Carroll still remain on the sidelines as well as they both recover from long-term injuries. Obiang is expected to miss the rest of the campaign but Carroll could return for the last couple of matches.
