N.H. Baseball/Softball: Lisbon boys roll; Groveton girls rally

LISBON — The Lisbon Panthers used two big offensive innings and four big defensive innings to send Groveton packing in five innings, 11-1 on Monday in a makeup game.

Once the Panthers spotted the Eagles a run in the first, the hosts came roaring back with seven runs. The starting pitcher for Groveton, Brody Haas, had the first hit and scored the only run to take the lead until the Panthers stepped to the plate.

Lisbon’s catcher Myles Barnes quickly recovered that run with a ground missile for openers and he found a second hit that inning. Of the six hits for the hosts, Myles Barnes was 3-for-3 with an RBI and scored twice.
