The Sharks rebounded Saturday night from a resounding Game 1 loss to battle their way to a gutsy, 4-3 double-overtime win in Vegas to knot the series at 1-1. Logan Couture’s power play goal in the second extra period sent San Jose home with a win, but it was the work the Sharks did in a three-goal second period that set the stage for his heroics.
Las Vegas, which outclassed the Sharks in a 7-0 Game 1 win, went 1-0-1 in two games at SAP Center, including an overtime game in which Couture also scored the game-winning goal.
The Sharks will get talented winger Evander Kane back from ma Game 2 suspension for a vicious hit in San Jose’s Game 1 loss.
San Jose will host Game 4 on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the SAP Center.
