LOUISVILLE, KY. – At the 2021 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship on Nov. 20, Rowan University’s Kevin Lauer placed 172nd in a time of 25:14.6 to cap the Profs’ season.

Spalding University and the Louisville Sports Commission were hosts for the championships, which was held at E.P. “Tom” Sawyer State Park.

Lauer’s time was a season-best in an 8K race this season which featured more than 290 competitors.

Alex Phillip of John Carroll was the individual winner (23:27.6), finishing just under three seconds ahead of Williams’ Elias Lindgren. Pomona-Pitzer was the team champion, totaling 80 points, as five of its runners placed in the top 26.

Head coach Dustin Dimit spoke about the junior’s performance on the day. “We are proud of Kevin and his race today,” he said of the Lenape High School graduate. “Finishing with his best time of the year and beating athletes that were ahead of him at conferences and regionals is a great way to finish the season. We are excited to see this momentum carry over into the track season.”
