As well as helping the USA into the last-16 of the World Cup thanks to their 1-0 win against Iran, Matt Turner created a little bit of history for his national team.

Matt's efforts between the posts saw him become the first US goalkeeper to record multiple clean sheets at a World Cup for the first time since 1930, as America claimed second spot in the group behind England.

Christian Pulisic's first half close-range header proved to be enough to claim the win, and set up a meeting with the Netherlands on Saturday, December 3, which means Matt heads into the next round alongside Gunners teammates Bukayo Saka, Ben White and fellow custodian Aaron Ramsdale.

The shot-stopper has only conceded once at the tournament so far, and that came from the penalty spot when Gareth Bale netted for Wales in the first group game.
