The Portland Trail Blazers’ reward for pulling off a 116-111 win Saturday at Utah is to turn around 24 hours later and host Indiana at the Moda Center.
The Blazers (12-11) needed that victory at the Jazz after losing eight of their previous 10 games. That all came during a stretch of games that saw them play 12 out of 16 n the road.
They will start a four-game homestand Sunday against the Pacers before going back out play another six on the road to start a run of 10 of 12 on the road.
The Blazers are expected to receive a boost with the return of Damian Lillard, who has missed the team’s last seven games with a right calf injury. He is listed as questionable. Same for Josh Hart (ankle), who has missed the last two games, and Drew Eubanks (hip), who missed Saturday’s win.
After this game, the Blazers will enjoy three days off to rest up, heal up and get in some much-needed practice.
“My guys are tired,” Blazers coach Chauncey Billups said. “They are playing their behinds off. We will look forward to getting a little break there.”
