Lehigh Valley IronPigs lead minor leagues in total and average attendance; first time since 2012

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs led all of minor league baseball in attendance and average attendance in 2023.

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs led all of minor league baseball in attendance and average attendance in 2023.

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs led all minor leagues in total attendance and in average attendance for the 2023 season, the IronPigs announced Tuesday.

The ‘Pigs attracted 567,322 fans this season and averaged 7,990 per game. It’s the first time since 2012 that the IronPigs have led all of minor league baseball in both categories.

The IronPigs had 71 home games during their 15th season and had 31 sellouts and 15 capacity sellouts (10,100 in attendance). It was the third time the IronPigs led the minor leagues in attendance. They led in both average and total attendance in 2011 and 2012, while leading in average attendance in 2010.

Since the team’s inception in 2008, the IronPigs have never finished lower than eighth in total or average attendance and have ranked within the top five in both categories 12 out of 15 seasons.

The IronPigs kick off the 2024 season on Friday, March 29, hosting the Worcester WooSox at Coca-Cola Park.
