Today is Thanksgiving for all of us over in the States, and despite the many ups and downs that 2024 brought with it there’s a lot to be thankful for if you’re a Yankees fan. There’s the big notes, of course: we got to witness Juan Soto as a Yankee, Aaron Judge put up a season total that actually managed to eclipse his unbelievable 2022 campaign, and an AL pennant for the first time in 15 years. There were also several other notable highlights, like seeing Luis Gil step up and become Rookie of the Year, Austin Wells take over behind the plate, and Jazz Chisholm Jr. stepping in midseason just to rake for a good while at third.
As far as we’re concerned, we’re just thankful that you spent some of your time throughout the season here with us, and continue to do so with the offseason in full swing now. It’s going to be a quiet day on the site with just Matt having a post, one looking back at the Thanksgiving day football games played at Yankee Stadium. Take the time to rest and relax with loved ones, and thank you for being a part of our little community.
Questions/Prompts:
1. What’s the thing that you’re most thankful for from the Yankees’ season?
2. Will you be tuning into the Cowboys-Giants game today, or is that prime food coma/nap time?
