ARSENAL goalkeeper David Ospina has taken up one specific duty since Olivier Giroud was sold to Chelsea.

The Colombian stopper is now the designated dressing room disc jockey.

DJ Ospina may not be able to take 35-year-old Petr Cech’s place between the Gunners’ posts.

But he can console himself by being Giroud’s replacement as the tune selector before the Gunners run out on the pitch.

“Olivier [Giroud] used to be in charge of the selection but now that he’s gone to Chelsea,” he told the official Arsenal website.

“Sometimes I select the music, sometimes it’s [Shkodran] Mustafi.

“We try to create a happy mood before we walk on to the pitch.

“Recently we have been listening to a lot of J Balvin, a Colombian artist who produces really good music – it just makes us smile.

“Afterwards, different people play all sorts of music but beforehand it’s always Reggaeton.”

Reggaeton originated in Puerto Rico during the late 1990s and is influenced by hip hop and Latin American and Caribbean music.

Boss Arsene Wenger has stated that Ospina will start today’s Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.

The former Nice man has made 12 appearances this season, keeping six clean sheets.

He’ll have his work cut out trying to keep Pep Guardian’s City side quiet at Wembley though.

The Blues have scored 79 times in their 27 Premier League games so far this season.
