Syracuse will try to add to its NCAA Tournament resume on Wednesday when it hosts North Carolina at 8 p.m. ET. The Tar Heels are favored by 3.5 points, down from the opening line of -4.

UNC is battling Duke for second place in the ACC, while Syracuse is 7-7 in the conference and part of a six-way logjam. Before making any kind of pick on this matchup, you need to see what Kenny White has to say.

The legendary Vegas oddsmaker-turned-SportsLine expert went 51-33 on college basketball picks last season, returning $1,463 to $100 players and he's crushing sportsbooks again this year. In fact, White is currently on a scorching 22-13 run.

He's also on a roll picking for or against North Carolina, nailing five of his last seven picks. His last two victories have each been going against the Heels, taking Clemson (+1) on Jan. 30 in a Tigers' 82-78 win, and Virginia Tech (+3.5) on Jan. 22, a game the Hokies won 80-69. But just because he's picked against Roy Williams' squad doesn't mean he'll do it again on Wednesday.

Now White has examined every matchup, every player and every trend for North Carolina-Syracuse and locked in a confident against-the-spread pick that he's sharing only over at SportsLine.

White knows North Carolina went to Louisville on Saturday and rolled to an impressive 93-76 win, its sixth in a row. The Heels now stroll into the Carrier Dome, another arena that's typically tough on visitors.

With an RPI ranking of 38 and KenPom ranking of 45, Syracuse could use a strong end to the season to feel a little better about its NCAA Tournament position. It will have that opportunity with games against UNC, Duke and Clemson looming.

Syracuse's vaunted 2-3 zone has done the work this season. Opponents are shooting just 39 percent, the fifth-lowest in the nation. It should be an entertaining matchup against a UNC offense that's shooting nearly 53 percent in its last three games.

We can tell you White is leaning over, but he's zeroed in on a critical stat that determines which side of the line you need to be all over.

So which side of North Carolina-Syracuse should you back?
