The Dallas Mavericks (18-12) host the Cleveland Cavliers (17-13) at home on Wednesday night in the first leg of a back-to-back. The game starts at 7:30 pm local time and will be broadcast on Bally Sports Southwest. The Mavericks are hoping for a win to start a new win streak whereas the Cavaliers have won four of their last five games. Let’s get to the key things:
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks vs Cleveland Cavaliers
- WHAT: A basketball game
- WHERE: American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas
- WHEN: 7:30 pm CST
- HOW: Bally Sports Southwest
As of this writing (about 3:00 pm) Luka Doncic is listed as questionable with the recurring quad injury that’s bothered him all year. Josh Green is also listed as questionable, a step in the right direction since he sprained his elbow. Kyrie Irving and Maxi Kleber are still out. Dereck Lively isn’t on the injury report. Hopefully Doncic suits up, otherwise that changes a lot about this contest.
Darius Garland is out with a broken jaw and Evan Mobley is out with a knee issue. Caris LaVert is questionable as is Donovan Mitchell. Before the Mobley injury, Cleveland was playing much differently but necessity has forced them into a more high-octane offense with a lot of three-point attempts... sound familiar to anyone?
We’ll see whatever else we come up with during the game and after. I’m really tired and verging on sick so I may take tonight off. Josh and the company will be running the ship. Thanks so much for hanging out with us during the game!
