Bertrand principal Aaron McCoy is the new activities director for North Platte Public Schools.
The school announced the hire in a press release Monday evening.
McCoy is a University of Nebraska at Kearney graduate with a bachelor's in social science field endorsement and minor in music. He also pursued a master's degree at UNK for principalship in grades 7-12.
McCoy has coached several school sports including football, basketball, wrestling and track at various levels.
Previously, McCoy served as principal at Bertrand Community Schools, and served as a coach, teacher, assistant activities director and activities director at Overton Public Schools.
