LAWTON – The MMCRU girls basketball team traveled to face Lawton-Bronson for the first round of the regional tournament on Saturday, but lost a close 68-64 game to end their season.
MMCRU held a close 14-13 lead at the end of the first quarter, but the Eagles outscored them 19-17 in the second to hold a one-point lead at halftime, 32-31. Both teams scored 15 in the third for a 47-46 margin going into the fourth where the Eagles put up 21 to the Royals’ 18 for the 68-64 final.
MMCRU ends their season 5-15 and they graduate three seniors, Jadyn Young, Kennedy Tentinger and Andrea Penning.
