Asier Illarramendi will play no role in the forthcoming friendly matches in China against both Milanese clubs, Inter and AC Milan.
The Basque player was not used in the game against Manchester City as a precaution after complaining about muscular pains which have been bothering the player over the past few days. One day before the City match, Illarra was forced to sit out the training session as the pain impeded him for participating with the group.
Upon arriving in China, Madrid club doctors were anxious that Ilarramendi received a muscular scan to detect if any tissue had been torn and then work out a corresponding recovery plan for the midfield player. This morning’s tests have ruled out no muscle tear but as a precaution the medics have advised the playing staff not to select the player for the imminent friendly games.
