The Paris Saint-Germain, Laurent Blanc, claimed to be optimistic about the arrival of Ángel di María at the club claiming that the matter was reaching its "final point".
"You all know that negotiations have two elements, as both United and Paris Saint-Germain are both big clubs, things can get tricky, but the feeling is that we are in the final part", admitted Blanc after his side’s 2-0 over United.
On the other hand Louis van Gaal was reluctant to address the matter. "I don’t know how things are because I’m not the same type of coach as Laurent Blanc and I don’t want to answer these questions", he argued.
"We will announce something that needs to announced when it’s ready and not before, that’s the procedure. I’ve said it so many times before, we need to wait and not interfere", added the Dutch coach.
Blanc also made reference to the situation regarding Thiago Motta, who is looking for an exit from the Parisian club. He played no role in the United friendly due to "a problem in his abductor" and is a doubt for the next game against Lyon. "His relationship with the club is the same", was all Blanc would say on the matter regarding a potential move to Atletico Madrid.
