Laporta: Bartomeu is the man who would favour Madrid

The candidate for the FC Barcelona presidency spoke to Al Primer Toque on Onda Cero about his ideas for the club.

The candidate for the FC Barcelona presidency spoke to Al Primer Toque on Onda Cero about his ideas for the club.

Feeling: “I don’t feel like I’m winning, but there are options to do so. I am very excited to have the chance to lead the lead. The pace of collecting support is very good. From the past you learn everything, of good and bad, and what is valued is the ability to improve. In life you can always stumble over the same stone. I want the directors, the players and the fans to be as one family.”

Catalanismo: “I know the Barcelona fans from outside Catalonia well. I am Catalan, they know that I have spoken, but always with the respect, of the ideas and forms that exit in Spain and FC Barcelona. Barcelona always accompanies everything that represents Catalonia. We are at a very important moment of politics and the resulting actions. If I am president, the club will join the political movement.”

Deulofeu: “There is a vertain lack of ethics. Surely the management could have waited one month for a new president to arrive. It is an income that will be given to the outgoing directors.”

Sergio Ramos: “I would not intervene in negotiations between a player from another team and its directors. Sergio flies the flag for Real Madrid and if someone was looking for an improved contract through us I would block it straight away.”

Messi: “Messi is magical. He has always showed me his love and and I’ve spoken of the eternal gratitude of the fans towards him. Leo gives you everything and in having Messi you can always dream. Therefore, we should always strive to ensure that he finishes his career here. We must have the ability to incorporate him with the players that arrive at Barcelona to live through another decade.”

Pogba: “The coaches say that he is a physical wonder and he is friendly. We must respect that he is at Juventus. I have a very good relationship with Raiola from the transfers of Maxwell and Ibrahimovic. We must be vigilant. Abidal is French and gets along with him very well. It is a time when everyone wants to be at the Camp Nou. I have not talked to him but Abidal has spoken with several players who could be interest. Pogba has an exceptional and extraordinary quality. If I have a commitment to a player, I will certainly announce it.”

Luis Enrique: “He is a coach whose merits were to work with a squad with lots of talent and he had a successful outcome. That is a credit to him and his team. Like Cruyff, he improved the system and its variants. His philosophy is like Johan, to have the ball, press hard and be strong. He is on holiday now but if I had the option to buy someone he would be the first.

Iborra: “We are candidates and we have no idea of that”.

Polls: “The Madrid fans have always shown me respect and they tell me that there are polls that say Bartomeu is the candidate for Madridismo [that his appointment would help Madrid].”

Abidal: “In March he came to my house and then asked what I would do. Eric can give us a lot, as he is prepared to do. He has an enthusiasm and capacity for work. What did Majó say about him leaving? I don’t know, but he is with us for a long time.”

Qatar: “We are Unicef and them, Rosell and Bartomeu, Qatar. Or there are other reasons why they work very badly for Barcelona. It does not generate any confidence or satisfaction that they can remain sponsors of the club. I do not like to be told that the models are similar. At a corporate level the club is linked to an Islamic dictatorship.”

Guardiola: “He will always be linked with the club. I am happy and grateful that he would give me his support. He would be a great president, no doubt. He went through all the levels of the club, from ball boy to coach. His story at Barça will never end. He loves the club.”

Mendes: “He is very affectionate with his players, they all feel very loved. He brought us Márquez, Deco…We always had technical secretaries of quality. Di María is a great player but I do not think he fits the profile of Barça. In addition, money needs to be paid to Madrid, as happened with Eto’o. Madrid took Figo and we took Eto’o.”

Cruyff: “For me it’s a privilege to give me advice. I value him not only for his bravery and courage but because he is a free spirit and says what he thinks.”

Puyol: “There is always room for icons such as Carles and my model could reinstate him to the club to a place where he feels comfortable and useful.”
