Paddy Pimblett nearly put away Tony Ferguson in the first round of their UFC 296 fight, but when Ferguson survived, the British star settled in for a grind.
Pimblett still managed to shut out Ferguson on the scorecards, handing the former interim champ his seventh straight loss in the octagon via 30-27 scores. After surviving Pimblett’s onslaught in the first, Ferguson repeatedly found himself grounded, unable to escape or secure a submission that would end his skid.
