Wolverhampton Wanderers welcome Aston Villa to Molineux on Saturday as the return of domestic action officially marks the end of the international break. Huzzah!

Wolves, of course, had a taste of their own medicine against Leeds United last time out - well, that’s how Villa would put it, anyway, after the pattern of play in the reverse fixture between these two sides at Villa Park when they surrendered a two-goal lead.

Villa, meanwhile, have been hard to get right in recent weeks. Fancy them to win, and they’ll likely be edged out. See Watford and Newcastle. Think they might have a tough afternoon? They’ll proceed to smash Southampton and hammer Leeds. It’s been results roulette from Steven Gerrard’s side, pretty much since the turn of the year so it’s hard to call.

Wolves, after what has largely been an excellent campaign in Bruno Lage’s debut season at the helm, have begun to slip in recent weeks and that Leeds set-back wasn’t a one off - they’ve also been undone by Crystal Palace on home soil in that time, too.

Without key men Raul Jimenez (suspended) and Ruben Neves (injured), they’re fearing that Villa might exact revenge and leave Wolverhampton with all three points today. Here is what they’ve been saying about the game and what they make of Villa.

Wolves fans predict Aston Villa meeting

Lost Wolf: But seriously, I worry McGinn and Coutinho will run riot. We’re seriously depleted in midfield.

CliveWolves : Wolves 1 Villa 2. Silva to score for us. Ramsey and Cash for them.

Wednesbury Wolf: Can’t see anything other than a Villa win, with no midfield we’ll just be overrun.

Aurum Lupus: I’m not confident. They’ll be well up for it after the last result against us. No Neves does worry me as well. If you told me it was a draw now I’d snatch your hand off!

AndyY : We rarely do well after an international break, Villa will want revenge, no Neves/ Raul/ Neto (probably), Moutinho played twice in a week for Portugal, Saiss and Kilman have lost a bit of form whereas Boly is still getting back up to speed……..I am worried!

Oh When The Wolves: Without Neves we struggle so badly, and I’m worried Bruno won’t start Silva and he will play Podence and Hwang as a 2. In that case we will lose 3-1

CliveWolves : Wolves 1 Villa 2. Silva to score for us. Ramsey and Cash for them.

Mile End Wanderer: I think villa have the firepower to out score us with Neves & Raul missing. With that said it depends what villa team turn up, they are as much as a mystery as we are. I can see goals though.

Tarcisio Misfud: Difficult match for Wolves, with all the injuries suspension to Jim, and the international break, most players returning after days of travelling around the world. If we can collect something from this match, I would be more than happy, but I have doubts on this.

Wolf In The Sun: got a bad feeling about this one but lets be positive 2-1 to the wolfies - podence and fabio

Sketchead : 0-2 Villa. No Neves no party.

Bugsy911 : I fear we will get whacked 0-4

Wallace : This will show what strength we have in depth as a squad against a middle of the table Aston Villa. We have a lot of negative comments on here to cheer on the lads but at home in a local derby and a Molineux crowd at full throttle it should be a rip roaring game so who will be our hero?

Woburn Wolf: I do not feel confident about this one but you never know Bruno has pulled a few rabbits out of the hat this season.
