Metallica will kick off the second leg of its WorldWired U.S. tour with a September 2 show at the Kohl Center, promoters announced Monday.
It will be the legendary hard rock band’s first show in Madison since playing the Alliant Energy Center Coliseum in 2004. Tickets are $65 and $135 and go on sale this Friday at livenation.com. Presales are available for members of the band’s fan club.
Tickets for the show will also include a download or physical of the band’s new album “Hardwired . . . To Self Destruct.” In addition, the band has enlisted former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Jim Breuer to host a pre-show event.
The band’s fall tour will also include an Oct. 16 stop at the new Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center in Milwaukee.
