Interest in Wrexham football club has surged in just a little over the last 12 months - and a huge part of that is the profile of its celebrity owners. Since Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mcelhenney bought the club in February 2021, the Dragons have exploded into a world-wide phenomenon, attracting the attention of sports fans from across the globe.
But some aren't just any old sports fans. Several stars of the big and small screen have been seen and pictured donning the Dragons famous red colours and crest since the tinsel town takeover was announced.
A few have even visited the hallowed turf of the Wrexham Racecourse (and the arguably even more hallowed 'Turf' pub right next door) to watch their new favourite team play. Here we've rounded up a list of the rich and famous celebrities who are now Wrexham fans

Some you might already know of (here's looking at you Will Ferrell who announced his plans to watch a Wrexham game on a podcast a while ago). Others might have slipped quietly through the net (because let's be honest, there's quite a few to keep track of these days).
Will Ferrell
The first name on the list, the famous actor and comedian has been spotted at Wrexham games in the past year. He was first seen alongside footballing royalty David Beckham at Wembley last May to watch the Red Dragons take on Bromley in the FA Trophy final, which they would end up losing 1-0.
Ferrell, who co-owns MLS side Los Angeles FC, was also recently spotted taking in a pre-match pint at the Turf pub in the town before Wrexham’s home game against Wealdstone back in February. You can read more about that here.
Later that day he delivered a message to Wrexham supporters at the ground. "Are you recording?" he inquired, as he fixed his hair for the camera. "Hi! This is Will Ferrell and it's my first time here. Er... where are we again? Wrexham!
I'm really excited to see the match. I'll be honest with you, I'm a little nervous."
The comedy legend started his career on Saturday Night Live before going on to feature in hits films like Elf, Anchorman, Step Brothers and Zoolander.
David Beckham
The England and Manchester United legend was seen alongside the aforementioned Ferrell at Wembley, watching the Welsh side slump to defeat thanks to a 64th-minute goal from the Ravens' Michael Cheek.
In a career spanning more than two decades, the former midfielder featured for European royalty like Real Madrid, AC Milan and PSG and won a host of silverware.
The former England star has also dipped his hands into club ownership, co-owning MLS side Inter Miami as well as being involved with League Two side Salford City as part of the Project 92 Limited alongside former team-mates Gary Neville, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs.
Hugh Jackman
A close friend of Reynolds, the pair have had a long-running comedic feud with each other, amounting to Jackman even making fun of his friend following Wrexham's shock defeat to Halifax Town last Friday.
However Jackman, who most notably played the Marvel superhero Wolverine as well as starring in films such as Les Miserables and The Greatest Showman, has shown his love for the north Wales side too.
Back in July the 54-year-old commented underneath an Instagram post by Reynolds which showed a teaser trailer for the documentary "Welcome to Wrexham", writing: “I’m in a puddle of happy tears and covered in chill bumps. I can’t wait to watch. I am in love with Wrexham and…you.”
Blake Lively
The actress arguably has the closest ties to the club than anyone on this list due to the fact she’s married to one of the owners.
Lively has been married to Reynolds since 2012 after meeting him on the set of the Green Lantern, which they co-starred in.
The Californian native, whose most notable role was as Serena Van Der Woodsen in the hit TV series Gossip Girl, was recently spotted at Racecourse Ground alongside her husband and their young family.
Then just a day later she had fans in stitches after a playful remark to a supporter at a Wrexham Women's match.
Emma Corrin
The Crown star is the most recent celebrity to be seen at the Racecourse ground after being spotted watching the dramatic win over Notts County on Easter Monday.
Corrin, who won acclaim for their portrayal of Princess Diana in the fourth season of the hit Netflix show, witnessed Wrexham inch even closer to crowning themselves title winners with a 3-2 win over their promotion rivals.
The Golden Globe winner was at the game as a guest of Reynolds, with the pair set to star alongside each other in the upcoming third instalment of the Deadpool franchise.
John Cleese and Jason Watkins
The pair were photographed back in January wearing Wrexham shirts following the non-League outfit's 3-3 draw with Sheffield United in the FA Cup fourth round, forcing the Championship side to a replay back at Bramall Lane. The Blades would eventually win the replay 3-1, putting an end to the Red Dragons' cup run in heartbreaking fashion.
Comedy legend John Cleese is most notable for being a member of the comedy group Monty Python, as well as for starring in the cult classic TV series Fawlty Towers.
BAFTA award-winning actor Jason Watkins has played starring roles in critically acclaimed TV dramas like The Crown and The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies.
Will Arnett and Jason Bateman
They struck up a friendship while filming the hit US comedy Arrested Development and have since gone on to carve out some amazing careers in acting. Arnett is perhaps best known for being the iconic voice behind the famous Lego Batman character while Bateman has starred in several series of Netflix's Ozarks and films such as Horrible Bosses and its sequel.
However, you might remember they've both shown their support for the Dragons after receiving some gifts from the club's famous co-owners. Back in 2021, both Arnett and Bateman were pictures proudly sporting some Wrexham AFC gear and sent some 'thank you' messages to Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mcelhenney in return.
