With only the winners of each event qualifying for the State Championships, the bulk of Class 1A’s participants are forced to wait. All that was known was the AGWSR Cougar girls qualified five events automatically out of Thursday’s Class 1A State Qualifier in Belle Plaine, while the boys had one.
Abby Veld qualified in both throws, winning the shot put with a 38’ throw and the discus with a 126’4” toss.
