Happy 4th of July!
How many hot dogs can you eat in 10 minutes? That is the only question besides which Vikings players do you think can eat the most hot dogs?
I do not know these dudes at all and have no clue what they can put away but automatically you think the big boys can put some hot dogs away.
Brian O’Neill has experience putting on weight and should be a contender.
N’Keal Harry gets my vote since he has been bulking up to play at tight end. Wouldn’t hurt him to gain some extra pounds eh?
We are 23 days away from training camp starting!
Vikings Announce 2024 Training Camp Schedule
• Saturday, July 27 – Back Together Weekend
• Monday, July 29 – First padded practice
• Monday, Aug. 5 – Night practice
• Thursday, Aug. 8 – Last open practice
I like the fact that the team has about 16M or so in cap space that they can utilize for whatever may arise.
Still hoping for a trade just for the fun of it!

Vikings’ Blake Cashman can’t wait to see J.J. McCarthy’s growth: ‘He’s gonna be a great player’
Cashman admits that he’s only received a snapshot of McCarthy’s talent so far at minicamps and organized team activities ahead of training camp, but what he’s seen to this point — including and especially McCarthy’s arm talent — has impressed him.
“I didn’t know much about his game before,” Cashman said. “I knew he was an outstanding quarterback. Winning followed him at Michigan. But I didn’t realize how much heat he can put on the ball.
“He’s got a great long ball. And even those tight windows, where it closes fast at the next level, he can zip the ball past a linebacker or safety’s head and squeeze it in those tight windows. That’s very promising to see.”
“He’s gonna be a great player for a long time, and I can’t wait to continue to see his growth,” Cashman said. “Not only as a quarterback with his skills, but also becoming an even smarter player.”
NFL analyst tabs Justin Jefferson as team’s MVP in 2024
Way to go out on a limb!
Predicting the 2024 records and end of season rankings for the NFC North
Minnesota Vikings (6-11)
When you have Justin Jefferson on your team, you’re going to get some wins off his back because he’s unstoppable. Other than that, the Vikings seems to be nearing a much needed rebuild. Kirk Cousins is out and now it’s J.J. McCarthy’s turn to be the guy. We’ll see if he can do it. There’s a lot of questions about him based off the way Michigan used him.
On the defensive side of the ball, losing Danielle Hunter and C.J. Wonnom is tough. That’s 25 sacks that you now have to replace. Jonathan Greenard and Dallas Turner should be good, but there’s going to be a learning curve in that Brian Flores defense.
5 intriguing trade candidates the Vikings could pursue
Jonathan Allen, DT, Washington
Allen, 29, has been involved in trade rumors for the past couple seasons. Having registered 49 total pressures last season, Allen would help shore up the Minnesota’s interior pass rush that has struggled in recent seasons.
According to Over The Cap, Allen has two years remaining on his deal with cap hits of $21.4 million and $23 million, respectively. He would be the most expensive name on this list but his proven ability to create pressure through the middle would be worth it for a potentially emerging Vikings defense.
If this sounds familiar it is because I posted trade candidates in the July 2nd open thread. This writer is wrong about the cost. The cap hits are correct but this person does not know or did not mention that the actual cost to the Vikings would be 14M and 15M the next two seasons. They could do an extension if they wanted.
